Knitters tackle Australia and New Zealand
No wool left "down under" after invasion
Saturday, September 8, 2007

An apparently innocent, but carefully planned rendezvous by General Barbara (Traveling Together)
Spohn at the Los Angeles airport signaled the beginning of an attack.
Thirty-plus knitting enthusiasts left Los Angeles Saturday night,
armed with size 6 needles and tote bags announcing their target -- Australia: Vogue Knitting Tour 2007.
Embedded with the troops was recently reassigned Vogue Knitting editor Carla Scott, now the force behind Knit Simple
magazine.
Qantas Airways officials were not alarmed and supported the invasion with food, Australian wine, on-demand movies, video games, and pillows.
